We created Language Foundry to give communities tools to revitalize and preserve their languages and dialects, under their invitation. Working in tandem, community members lead the content development and retain full ownership over the content. The result? Intuitive, gamified courses that reflect the unique cultural identity of the community, giving learners an engaging and fun experience.
Our goal is simple and ambitious: make language learning joyful, sustainable and scalable, while honouring each community’s protocols and priorities.

Our language modules are delivered on a web-based application, which can be accessed by any device with an internet connection, so it can be used virtually or in a classroom setting.
Learners engage with a variety of modules to take them from beginning concepts to basic fluency, using audio and visual flashcards, mini games and digital avatars to reinforce language rules and vocabulary.
The avatars are digital representations of the community we worked with to build the course. This means students can learn by hearing and seeing the language be spoken. This also allows educators to deliver the content, even if they don’t speak the language themselves.
